Palletized Firewood (Commercial)

We are happy to announce that we are now also offering delivery of pallets domestically. We have received a large number of calls from restaurants all over the country asking us for providing them with BBQ and firewoods that are difficult to find in other parts of the US.

The inventory of different types of woods changes frequently. We suggest getting in touch with Tim at (818) 208 6366 prior to ordering. As we further grow into this line of distribution, we will soon be able to offer a large variety year-around.

Delivery by Pallet

The delivery will be on a standard 40" x 48" pallet and the wood will be tightly stacked to a total height of 48". Standard size of our wood pieces is 16-18" and about 3" thick. You can order shorter pieces at no additional charge. You can also order double or triple split pieces (at an additional charge) if you require thin and very thin pieces.

The wood is fully air-seasoned which most professionals and BBQ-enthusiasts prefer over kiln-dried. In our very hot and often exceedingly dry climate, it just makes no sense not to air-dry the wood.

We are using standard plastic wrap to secure the wood on the pallet. Most transit times within the continental US do not exceed 6-7 travel days, therefore we have not encountered any moisture issues under the plastic wrap. Once the wood arrives at your location, make sure to take the plastic wrap off and stack the wood loosely with good air-flow. We always recommend to use the pallet or a rack for keeping the wood off the ground, even if it is concrete.

Shipping Companies and Transit

Shipping rates fluctuate on a daily basis and depend on many factors, mainly total distance and distance to a major transportation hub. Just call or text Tim at (818) 208 6366 for an approximate cost range to your location.

You can lower your the shipping cost to your location by not ordering delivery to your restaurant but going to the warehouse hub of the carrier (mostly within 50 miles of your location). They will make available the pallet at their facility and you can just throw the wood into the back of your truck. If you have a forklift at your location, most carriers will also put the entire pallet on your truck or trailer and you can then take it back to your location. As they say, the last mile is always the most expensive one!

There are three major complaints when it comes to shipping companies. Here are ways how to work within the limitations of the carrier:

  1. Damage to the shipped product. Luckily, due to the nature of our product, very dense wood, this is the least of our concerns. Unless the carrier inadvertently spills liquids on the wood, there won't be a risk of damage to the wood.
  2. Delivery delayed by a day or sometimes even several days. The domestic shipping business is very competitive and has to work with low margins. Therefore, any shipping company but the most expensive ones, will consolidate shipments as much as they can.
We strongly recommend ordering your firewood well in advance of when you actually need it. That way, you can relax when you hear from the carrier that your delivery unfortunately is delayed by a few days.
  3. Incorrect delivery window on the day of delivery: the carrier might tell you, they will be at your location at 10am-12pm, but show up only at 4pm. As long as there is always somebody at your location, that is not a big problem. Alternatively, if you have the means, you might want to get the pallet from the carrier's warehouse.
