About Palletized Firewood

Our palletized firewood is a convenient option to get larger quantities of specialized cooking wood at an affordable rate.

A pallet measures (in inches) 48 x 40 x 48 (LxWxH) and weighs about 1,250-1,400lbs. It is wrapped in plastic film and cardboard. Please remove the packaging material immediately after you receive the wood and stack it loosely in a well-ventilated environment.

Specifications

A pallet contains about 1/2 (face) cord of wood. The wood has been fully air-seasoned by the warm California sun.

Unless requested otherwise, regular log size is 16-18" and about 3" thick. You can get shorter pieces for no additional charge. If you want double or triple split logs, you can order the service here.

Delivery by Pallet

The delivery will be on a standard 40" x 48" pallet and the wood will be tightly stacked to a total height of 48". Standard size of our wood pieces is 16-18" and about 3" thick. You can order shorter pieces at no additional charge. You can also order double or triple split pieces (at an additional charge) if you require thin and very thin pieces.

The wood is fully air-seasoned which most professionals and BBQ-enthusiasts prefer over kiln-dried. In our very hot and often exceedingly dry climate, it just makes no sense not to air-dry the wood.

We are using standard plastic wrap to secure the wood on the pallet. Most transit times within the continental US do not exceed 6-7 travel days, therefore we have not encountered any moisture issues under the plastic wrap. Once the wood arrives at your location, make sure to take the plastic wrap off and stack the wood loosely with good air-flow. We always recommend to use the pallet or a rack for keeping the wood off the ground, even if it is concrete.

Shipping Companies and Transit

Please call or text Tim at (818) 208 6366 for shipping quotes. Just let us know your delivery address and how many pallets you need and you can have the quote within an hour.

You can lower your shipping cost by choosing to pick up from your local warehouse hub and not have the pallet delivered to your restaurant.

We also recommend ordering with a few days buffer, since in logistics there is always something that can go wrong!

When it comes to the day of delivery, the shipping company might miss the previously stated delivery window. For most of our restaurant customers a delay to later in the day is not that much of an issue since there is always somebody at the location. Just be prepared that they might miss the delivery window!
